Provident fund payment

In accordance with the provisions of a collective agreement or work contract, the employer should deposit funds in the provident fund, with the purpose of accumulating these funds or ensuring the rights of the employee relating to his employment or the termination of his employment.

In case of an employee whose employer did not deposit in the provident fund the employer's funds or funds deducted from the employee's salary or from both of them, the National Insurance will pay these funds to the employee's provident fund.

The National Insurance Institute will transfer to the provident fund the amount of the debt plus indexation differentials from the day the debt was made to the day of the actual payment, up to the maximum amount set by the law, which is twice the base salary, NIS 19,612 (as of Jan 01, 2024).
